The Muslim Association of Woodstock (MAOW) was created to support and give a voice to worshipers to engage within the wider community of Woodstock and Oxford County. Although first envisaged in 1982, we reformed in 2009 to carry forward our mandate of facilitating prayer, cultural, and interfaith activities.
Our community has grown over fifty years, with early settlers arriving from Eastern Europe, East Africa, and the Middle East to build lives in small-town Ontario. Today, we actively participate in the social life of our town, driven by a goal to shape lives through social inclusion, education, and mutual respect.
